Making Stories

Making Stories

A writers workshop ideal for children who love stories and storytelling.

Published author, performance storyteller and workshop leader-  I love making stories! Each project is tailored to meet your needs.

Book in a Day workshops

For examples of my Book in a Day workshops click here ( link to images of completed books) I will work with the group to help them write their own unique story. The children then illustrate and, where possible, edit the text before the final product is sent to print. The result – a beautiful book produced in full colour.

Book in a Day workshops are ideal for school groups, clubs, parties or as a very special birthday gift.

Book in a Day Writers Workshops for schools is an ideal way to consolidate curriculum based topics such as the Greeks, Ancient Egypt, Victorians and myths, fables
and legends. Alternatively you may want to incorporate a workshop in enrichment activities or as a special activity to create a momento for your year sixes prior to secondary school transition. The possibilities are endless! With over five years’ their creativity. Her workshops are designed to stretch children’s abilities in literacy, communication and art whilst also encouraging them to work in teams.

STORYTELLING FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Miranda combines her passion for storytelling with her expertise as a teacher of English as an additional language to offer workshops for students whose primary language is not English . These can be tailored to specific group needs and levels of ability.

Storytelling works exceptionally well as a technique to  extend and support english language learning in a group environment. Miranda’s teachers workshops are designed to ensure participants can identify which stories to use and how to use them as well as giving teachers the confidence to incorporate storytelling as part of their teaching toolbox.
